The countdown is on! Registration for the 2025 LaGrange Classic — Trinity County’s premier mountain biking event — is closing fast. If you’ve been meaning to sign up, now’s your time to commit. Race day is Saturday, June 7th, and spots are filling fast, so register now!

Courses for Different Skill Levels

Held in the historic Weaver Basin Trail System just outside of Weaverville, the LaGrange Classic features some of the most beautifully built singletrack winding through pine forests, across ridge tops, and alongside remnants of 1800s gold mining history. Riders can expect well-built trails with steady climbs, exhilarating descents, and fast, flowy sections that make for a race that’s both demanding and wildly fun.

Whether you’re a first-time racer or a seasoned pro, there’s a course that matches your skill and ambition:

  • Novice Course (6 miles, 633 ft climb): A great introduction to mountain biking or a lighter ride for anyone looking for a more relaxed pace.
  • Short Course (10 miles, 1,316 ft climb): A solid choice for intermediate riders ready to tackle some elevation and technical sections.
  • Intermediate Course (17 miles, 2,503 ft climb): A moderately challenging route that ascends and descends through oak woodlands and conifer forests, offering a fresh experience with improved race flow.
  • Long (Advanced) Course (27 miles, 4,042 ft climb): Built for experienced riders who enjoy a challenge—expect rugged terrain and a true test of endurance.

Whether you’re looking to test your endurance or simply soak in some epic backcountry views on two wheels, the LaGrange Classic has something for everyone.

Encouraging Women Riders

The LaGrange Classic continues to build a reputation as a race where women riders feel supported and encouraged to hit the start line. Organizers and volunteers work hard to ensure the event atmosphere is inclusive and welcoming, and they’re proud to see growing participation from women each year. Whether you’re racing to win or simply want to enjoy a beautiful day on the trail, you’ll find your place here.
