The trails
The Weaver Basin trails are what make this race special. Flowing singletrack that rewards momentum — smooth enough for riders finding their rhythm, varied enough to keep seasoned racers honest. This isn’t a suffer-fest. It’s a celebration of what good trail design feels like when you’re in a flow state.
Choose from four courses ranging from 6 to 27 miles. Ride as hard or as easy as you want. First-timers and race veterans line up together and both walk away grinning — that’s not marketing copy, it’s just what happens here every year.
A community celebration, open to all
NOT RACING? YOU’RE STILL INVITED

- Free swimming at the pool starting at 2:00 pm
- Good people and good vibes all weekend long
Picture a warm Trinity County afternoon: riders rolling in after they finish the race, the smell of food in the air, music drifting across the park, kids in the pool. The LaGrange Classic has the energy of a block party with the backdrop of one of Northern California’s most beautiful mountain towns.
Bring the family. Bring the neighbors. Come cheer a stranger across the finish line and grab a bite. This is the kind of community gathering that makes Weaverville, Weaverville.
Why this race matters to Trinity County
The LaGrange Classic is organized by the Trinity Trail Alliance (trinitytrailalliance.com), a local group that has quietly been doing some of the best trail work in NorCal. The race is a fundraiser, a showcase, and a thank-you to everyone who loves these mountains. The fact that it’s remained relatively under the radar makes it even more special — for now.
If you’ve ever wondered why mountain bikers talk about Weaverville with reverence, this weekend is your chance to find out.
Registration closes June 5 at 3:00 pm. After that, you can explore the town or come hang out at Lowden Park — the party is open to all.
