Trinity Center Lions BBQ and Fly-in
A Labor Day Weekend tradition in the North Lake area is the annual Trinity Lake Lions Fly-in Barbecue. This tradition began way back in 1967 as a fundraiser for the Scott Museum in Trinity Center. The event blossomed into a fun party, attracting pilots who fly into Trinity Center Airport, and vacationers from all over/
The event returns to the grounds of the Trinity Airport Resort, sometimes called the “Airporter,” in Trinity Center adjacent to the airport.
Festivities begin at 11:00 am with the opening of the Art and Craft Faire, followed by the BBQ at noon. The band begins at 1pm, and the event wraps up at 5pm.
The BBQ menu includes barbecued tri-tip and chicken, Santa Rosa beans, garden salad, roll and light beverage.
The band concert is free. BBQ meals are $20 for adults, $8 for kids 6-12, and free for kids under 6. The Lions Bar will be open with beer, wine and soft drinks available to purchase.
