The North Fork Grange will host its 16th annual Trinity County Harvest Festival at the Highland Art Center meadow, 691 Main St. in downtown Weaverville. This event is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. Vendors provide artwork, crafts, specialty food products and other merchandise.
The Grange’s 16th annual Chili Cook-Off signups are by 9 a.m. at the event or contact Ginger Shaw at 739-3445. Cook teams should make contact by phone to confirm participation. The judge’s briefing to contestants will be at 9 a.m. with cooking thereafter until noon. Taster’s choice will start at noon. Everyone gets a taste of each contestant’s chili and then votes for their favorite. Each vote cast is important for the winner with awards in addition to cash for judged and “People’s Choice.”
