Bluegrass Meets the Grateful Dead: Grassomoxoa Takes the Stage!
This year’s dance features Grassomoxoa, a powerhouse bluegrass quartet that brings new life to the timeless fusion of bluegrass and the Grateful Dead. Bluegrass was at the heart of Jerry Garcia’s musical journey, shaping his early career and resurfacing in projects like Old and in the Way (1973) and Garcia-Grisman (1990s). Grassomoxoa—Riley Hill (guitar), Bud Dillard (mandolin), Isaac Cantor (banjo), and Scotty Brown (bass)—carry on that tradition, blending intricate picking with progressive jam explorations. Their performance will take audiences deep into the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia songbook, delivering an unforgettable night of high-energy music with the spirit of a late-night campfire session.
Adding even more excitement to the night, Top of the Grade Fire and Flow, will put on a dazzling performance during the set break!
So dust off your dancing shoes and join us for an incredible evening of live music, great company, and community fun at the North Fork Grange!
