Woven Wonders: A Fiber Arts Show
An exhibition of Fiber Arts may seem unconventional, however there is an extensive history of creative uses for fiber dating back centuries. Textiles have long been around as an artistic means to designing expressive garments and decorating rooms for both aesthetics and function.
Today artists are using fiber in unconventional ways and creating works in a genre with a longstanding history, and yet to some it seems as if fiber-based art is new and unexpected.
Come see the array of uses for fiber as a medium to artistic expression in the November group show: Woven Wonders, Fiber Arts Show at the Highland Art Center. Join us Nov 3rd from 5 to 8 p.m. for the opening reception in participation with the Weaverville Art Cruise.
