Dawn Hospice annual Light-Up-A-Life
The Dawn Hospice annual Light-Up-A-Life tree lighting ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, at the Highland Art Center front lawn in Weaverville. Stars will be hung on the lighted tree throughout December.
This annual program provides a memorial for those who have passed or honoring persons living. Stars may be purchased for a donation of $10 per star. The tree is adorned in stars and white lights and provides a welcome holiday tradition.
If you are unable to attend, volunteers will hang a star for you. Names may be added through the end of December. Forms to use for your star request are available in Weaverville at Highland Art Center and Golden Age Senior Center, and in Hayfork at Roderick Senior Center on Coral Avenue, or you may call Hospice at 623-4692 and a form will be mailed to you.
Your star donation is tax deductible, as Dawn Hospice is a 501(c)3 non-medical Hospice, providing information and support to the terminally ill and their families/caregivers.
Hospice volunteers are needed, especially in the northern part of Trinity County, i.e. Weaverville, Douglas City, Junction City, Lewiston and Trinity Center areas. Call 623-4692 to learn more.
