Edit the footer areas

The footer area is different from the Service area even if they look a lot alike. The footer areas are showing what’s in a Footer Text Widget. The Widgets are found at Appearance —> Widgets In the left side of the Widget area, look for “Footer Area #1, Footer Area #2 and Footer Area #3” — each of these show the one of the three boxes above. Footer 1 shows “Dining” text, Footer 2 shows “Lodging” text and Footer 3 shows “Getting Around” text. These widgets are “hard coded” — this means that the html code, including the “Read More” link at the end of the text is created elsewhere (like in a post or page which you don’t add to your site — A link’s html code looks like this <a href=”http://visittrinity.com/PAGENAME/”>READ MORE »</a>) and then the text and code is pasted into the Text widget for each Footer...

Welcome area The welcome text is in a post that’s in the Testimonials section. You find it under “Testimonials —> All Testimonials.” There is only one post in this category and that is the post containing the text that’s shown in the Welcome area. Edit the Service areas

Each of the three Service areas are populated by the text in the “Excerpt” box on respective page it links to. To edit the text in a Service area on the home page, click the “Read More” link under the Service area you want to edit. When you get to the linked page, click “Edit Page.” In Edit Page mode, scroll down to the “Excerpt” box and edit the text in the box. When you click “Update” the text on the home page will update too (you might need to click refresh on your home page to reload the latest version). Excerpt areas can display html code in case you want to add a link into your Excerpt text.
